According to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), in 2016 there were 216 million malaria cases worldwide that led to 290,000 deaths of children under five years of age. In Ghana, an estimated 5,600 of children below five years of age died from malaria.
Peini has joined the fight against malaria – a disease that kills thousands of Ghanaian infants yearly. We use a portion of proceeds from the sales of all our products to buy repellents and donate them to orphanages. We also encourage corporates to buy the malaria products directly from Peini to donate to those in need as part of their CSI initiatives.
We have also joined the First Lady of Ghana, Rebecca Akofu-Addo in a project to eradicate and prevent infantile malaria with the distribution of our natural shea based insect repellent in Ghana’s rural and impoverished communities.
